News September 2015

Our summer events are over, schools are back, we have had so much fun this summer with all our events and camps, it seems a little quiet without them all running around and we had great fun.

New plans are in place for our indoor areana and we are all waiting patiently for the reply back from the council, knees are trembling with excitment if things go to plan, with endless opportunities for our riders, school groups, training sessions and events, offering more to our community, riding club groups and a safer environment for our disabled riders within the area.

We have had happy riders all ages winning lots of trophies and rosettes this summer achieving rewards they thought they would never get, well done to everyone. New events are up soon for our winter activities so please keep an eye out for the activities you wish to join in with and book your places for them in advance.

Theme tune our young two year old had a terrible accident with fencing wire this summer which severed her leg to the bone, the vets are doing a fabulous job attending to her, but she will not event to the extent she was hoping for. So she will become a natural horsemanship demo horse, EE in hand, also a brood mare. She still has a promising future, 3 to 6 months box rest will help her heal her wounds, we will keep updates on her progress.

Chit chat and Image with Amy Lingard  and myself Kim attended the SWPA show with young riders Leo and Molly Brock. Only riding with our team for a year, we had a fabulous 5 days away in Wales. A big well done to their achievments in such a short time.

Lots of our riders thoroughly enjoyed our cross country training days and our young horses came on leaps and bounds. Literally leaps as Walimar is always excitable!! But yard assistant Amy King rode him well. Well done Amy.

Kate Mc Gowan, our yard manager, has been a super star this summer providing lots of fun lots of support to all our riders at Fitzworthy, making sure everyone had something to aim for and enjoying their time here. Our riders have gained so much love and trust for our horses over the summer. Our riders are caring to our horses and have looked after them all so well. Most of our horses and ponies are on our yard are now on our loan scheme to our lovely riders to keep up that love and care that each horse and pony deserve, so a big thank you you all.
